Strange Bed Fellows

The wind was cold and strong
The wolf was lean and mean
The pack all gone he was alone

The fire was inviting
The food would be warm
The wolf walked into
The spill of the light

The man did not move
The wolf just watched
The Wind  Scream Hard
The food smelled good

The man through him some food
The wolf ate with glee
The wolf moved closer
Big and mean

The man stayed still
and shared his food
Both shared the fire
Until the morn

The wolf was gone with
the crack of dawn
The man but quit warm
The man and wolf had shared
the bed to stay warm

A man is a man
A wolf is a wolf
but survival is
The friend of ALL
