Sea Horses

The sea spray bounced upon the sandy shore
dribbling lightly down the sand.
Little breakers beat upon the shore
the sun goes down the moon comes up
glistening on the shore.

The tide does turn.
The wind does change.
The sea does swell.

The sea now breaks against the shore
The crest of waves like white horses
racing to the shore.
The wind rises the water races.
Deep below the ground gives way

Up surges the water in a fit of rage
The waves grow stronger
against the sea wall
The horses become stallions
raging against the sea wall.

Might hooves doth batter the sea wall
High and higher they kick
Over the top of the wall the horses jump
fighting to be free.

Dawn arrives the moon settles
The wind still blows and the sea withdraws
The horse still kicking go out to sea
Another night and we will be free.
