Becoming Summer

The weather is cold

 the snow just gone

The sun is bright

but its the wind bite

The winter jasmine is having its last fling

The snowdrops have awakened

Tulips are raising there heads.

The daffodils are growing by the inch

Summer is coming slow but surely

The night is cold the sky so clear

The days are warmer

 but still top coat weather

So here to the day jack frost goes bye bye

The day the sun takes off his hat

The day that the tops come off

The day that goodbye says  woolly pully

Slow Spring

As the days draw out
The weather should be warm
Spring should be here

But as the days draw out
The weather gets cold
The snow floats gently floats from ths sky
The rivers freeze and the water ceases

Spring should be here
The daffodils growing
But it is cold and still snowing

The snow stops the rain starts
River swell brooks babble
The sun tries but to no avail

Spring will come but when
Is just the cycle
Is mother nature having a laugh
or is it just that
We only remember good
And forget  the bad.

Bees Blood ad Dust

The air was dry and the sun hot.
The road was bumpy and dusty.
Bang! its gone dark
oh my leg!

Man Down! Man Down! I hear
Hands grab me and drag me
My leg feels warm and  wet
I must have cut it

I  hear bees buzzing
Funny I did not think there was any here
I try to rise somebody is holding me down
my eyes are misty I can barely see
Should I go to sleep

My mate is shouting
Stay with me stay with me
I hear the sound of thunder
I see a dark shadow
Something hurts my arm
I feel sleepy

I dream I am flying in the sky
Sound vibrates around the room
Now every where is white
My leg begins to hurt
Sleep again I go

I wake up all confused
I am in a room
a Hospital room
I can not feel my leg
An I.E.D they say.

The Seasons Wait

The wind blows swiftly
The leaves fall quick
The fox runs fast
Autumn is here at last

The starlings fly away
The geese get fat
White horses run over the rising sea
The rain comes down hard and fast

The leaves are gone
The snow is here
The coal is burning
The winter is here

Its mid winter now
Christmas at Last
Time for presents

Death of A Box

Death of a Box

At first there was the black screen
The black screen of Death
Next came the blue screen

The blue screen of death
Death has now died
No black screen
No blue screen

The moment lives on
Messages after message
of windows whine.

From the god of the box
Comes an update
 death  is dead

The Wedding

There they were
Standing together side by side
All the hard work done.
The Bride and Groom say I do.
Both now thinking  its done
The bride shining bright
The groom in fright.

They walk down the aisle
between the guests.
doting mothers
proud fathers.
Camera’s flash videos roll.
Time to leave for the reception.

At the reception they
Stand on show.
Hello to him, love the dress to her.
Thank you for coming
the present looks nice

The food was had
and enjoyed by all.
Then came the speeches
Dad did his bit the best man to.
The groom made an effort
but he was to fixed on the bride.

The night time do was quickly here
All the mates
work colleagues to
Come midnight its time to go
what happens next
I will leave to you.

The Groom

As I stand at the alter
My knees Knocking
My head soar
I think to myself
What have I done
What am I doing

Will she love me always
and forever
Will i be able to take care of her
What will the boys think

She’s so beautiful
She’s so sweet
I am sure she loves me

As the vicar say do you take this women
I blurt out I DO
She smiles at me
I win Hands down
Till death us do Part

The Bride

As I stand at the alter
My belly all of a flutter
My legs like jelly
I begin to think

Will he always love me
Will he care when I am old and grey
Will he cherish me when I am ill and frail
Of cause he will

He is so sweat
He is so kind
He loves me dearly
He is that best friend of mine

Do you take this man to be
You wedded husband.
He turns to me and smiles
My doubts subside
I do I cry

I now pronounce you man and wife
The vicar cried
I am now his wife
To have and to Hold
for Life

70

The first ten went quick
so fast I can not remember them
The next ten years went quicker still
With help from girls and booze

Ten years later and the chains are on
no more girls less booze.
Better meals and comfy cushions

At thirty plus its family time
Crying girls and sulky boys
No holidays abroad just
rain shores

Ten years later
It’s Middle edge spread
and over the hill
The young man’s gone
grey hairs appear
Times a slowing.

Ten more years
I think I am getting old
The musics rubbish
the cloths are old.
The coppers are young
the vicars old.

Ten more years and retirements due
Grand kids come then they go.
I start to remember when I was young
but I still can not remember when I was ten.

Ten more years have gone
Time to relax
The job is done
No more sulking nor more crying
The gran kids have gone
OH NO Great grand kids.
Benidorm here I Come

Is she beautifully of course she is

The sun rose and filled the room
My  eyes slowly opened
As I rubbed the sleep from my eyes
I look to my right to see my love
Hair all disheveled Make up gone
Is she beautifully of course she is

I spend the day doing things that i do
I am called for dinner and their she is
Flour on her face pinie on
A smile on her face
Is she beautifully of course she is.

The day wears on  all jobs done
The telly is on tea is severed
Steaming tea and hot bread
no make up yet  but all the same
Is she beautifully of course she is.

Out for the night down the pub
Shes on G and T its a  Pint for me
Around the pub are may women
Some are plain some beautiful
But are they as beautiful As my love
of course not  the question is
Is she beautifully of course she is.

Back from the pub
The day is over once again
A cup of tea and off to bed
I snuggle down beside my love
the make up gone the nightie on
again i reflect
Is she beautifully of course she is.

She is my love and  I love her true
She is my soul mate and i love her do
When we are old I will love her still
Is she beautifully of course she is

The Humble Bumble Bee

The humble bumble bee
Busy busy bee
Bzzzz to there
Bzzzz to here
Pollen and nectar to be found

Bzzzz to the red one
Bzzzz to the blue one
Head stuck in the long one
Pollen and nectar to be found

Daffodils are good plenty of room
Honeysuckle’s best need a spoon
Bzzzz to the blossom on the tree
Pollen and nectar to be found

Bzzzz back to the hive
Through the hole into the combs
Past  mother my  Queen
Deposit the goods say hello
Have quick snack then of we go.
Pollen and nectar to be found

Watch out for the ants the moths to
Don’t want to be caught out
Another  run and ill be done
Buzzzz to the sunflower full of food
Buzzzz back home the day is done

Its cold now time to sleep
Buzzzz back to the hive
Time to group hug
ZZZZZ ZZZ til spring and summer

The humble bubble bee
Busy busy bee
Bzzzz to there
Bzzzz to here
Pollen and nectar to be found

Bzzzz to the red one
Bzzzz to the blue one
Head stuck in the long one
Pollen and nectar to be found

Daffodils are good plenty of room
Honeysuckle’s best need a spoon

I Sit And Wait

I sit here and wait
Thinking of now and then
My mind begins to wander
To the days of my youth

I remember when things where simple
Rules were made and broken
Toys where simple and fun
Days out where long and sunny

I remember when things where fun
We had parties every week
biscuits and milk with chocolate too.
Hours in the park, hide and seek
Kiss chase and rugby too

I remember those teenage years
Spotty faces ganging legs.
awkward moments, silly ones too
My first kiss and other things too
Leaving school starting work
Money in my pocket the booze too

I remember my partner and kids
Those happy days of fun
Off to the seaside sand and sea
Caravan and tent reminds me of them
Birthdays and anniversary all them too
One to many but what can you do

I remember one  two many
My partner was oh such fun
We had a love beyond compare
Now I wait in utter despair.

Unknown rose

IT is the picture of an English rose

It’s skin as fine as a silk

The  smell so fragrant and bright

what is that rose.

I know not her name, that rose

She is so fine and bright

Her flesh is silk beyond compare

How long before,

she becomes withered and dry

I could bear to see her nought but fair

I captured her image so she could not fade and die

I love that rose so sweet and pretty

Now she’s all mine
